Music In May performance by Wes Darnell at The Waters
About this time last year, we all found ourselves with a little extra time. COVID-19 came in and put a halt to the events and activities we had planned at The Waters. While we found many fun and safe things to do in our neighborhood despite the pandemic and shut-downs, we are thankful that life is slowly starting to get back to a more normal pace. This includes the reintroduction of some of our favorite events, including Music in May and movie nights, which will be held monthly starting in June!
Music in May at The Waters
Music in May already kicked off on Sunday, May 2 with Wes Darnell. It was so refreshing to have the opportunity to attend a real, live, in-person event after so many months without it. We had around 250 people attend, which was a great turn-out, but we also had plenty of room for everyone.
For future events, we hope you will grab your lawn chairs and friends and head to Town Square for these live music events that will take place on Sunday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. This will also be a great chance to try out NYC Gyro’s food truck, which will be onsite at all Music in May events. They are currently renovating their restaurant space at The Waters and hope to be open there soon.

Movie Nights at The Waters
With the start of summer and kids getting out of school at the end of May, we also thought it’s the perfect time to bring back another favorite event that’s always a big hit with the entire family: movie nights! These will be held at The Square at The Waters, and movies will begin at 7:30 pm.
Movie night schedule:
- June 15 – The Croods
- July 13 – Toy Story 4
- August 4 – Jumanji
We are so thankful that we can bring these events back, and we have other plans for the summer in the works. We’ll still be spending lots of time out on the water, riding golf carts, enjoying our many green spaces, and visiting with neighbors on front porches, but these events give everyone a little something special to look forward to and a way to keep our community culture thriving.
