Join the Town of Pike Road this October 18-19 as the Plein Air Paint out returns once again! Artists from the River Region and beyond will bring bright eyes and creative spirits to our hometown, with the intention of capturing the beauty of our community their own special ways. Artists include members of the Alabama Plein Air Artists (https://alabamapleinairartists.com/) and others from across the country.

Throughout the day on Friday, Oct. 18, artists will disperse around Town in search of scenes that catch their eyes. The community is welcome to observe these artists as they bring their paintings to life. There will be a “Sneak Peek” Preview Art Party at the Pike Road Arts Center’s Water House Gallery (944 Wallahatchie Rd) from 5 – 7 p.m.

Artists will also be out painting on Saturday, Oct. 19, but must turn in all works created over the weekend to New Waters Realty (2239 Marler Rd) for judging before the Art Show & Sale that evening.

From 5 – 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, the public is invited to New Waters Realty for an Art Show & Sale featuring the fresh works of artists from the Plein Air Paint Out. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to purchase art, speak with the artists, and place a vote for the “People’s Choice Award.”
