PIKE ROAD SCHOOL BOARD TO INTERVIEW SUPERINTENDENT
CANDIDATES, PUBLIC ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
From a pool of 17 applicants, the Pike Road Board of Education has selected three finalists for the position of superintendent. Each candidate will be interviewed in a public meeting at Pike Road Town Hall, and the community is encouraged to attend and to meet each candidate prior to his or her interview.
The candidates will be interviewed at 6:00 p.m. at Pike Road Town Hall on the following dates: Thursday, February 13,Thursday, February 20, Friday, February 21
The public will have the opportunity to meet each candidate from 4:30 to 5:30 on these dates. Those who attend the interviews will also have an opportunity to provide feedback to the school board after each interview.
The position was advertised in the fall of 2013, and applications were accepted through December 16. Applications were received from across the Southeast.
The Pike Road School System was established in December 2010. School board members were appointed in May 2013, and ground was broken on the system’s first campus in January 2014. The first school. a K-8 facility, will open for classes in the fall of 2015.
