Pike Road Schools Board of Education Announces Groundbreaking Ceremony for New High School
The Pike Road Schools Board of Education is thrilled to invite the community to the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Pike Road High School, set for Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 5:30 PM.
This significant event will take place on Wallahatchie Road, directly opposite the Pike Road Arts Center (944 Wallahatchie Rd, Pike Rd, AL 36064). The Board is eager to commence construction, marking a major step forward in supporting the educational growth within the community.
Spanning over 200,000 square feet, the planned facility will feature more than 50 classrooms designed for both learning and collaborative opportunities. Capable of accommodating around 1,200 students in grades 9 through 12, the new high school is a testament to Pike Road’s commitment to investing in the future of our youth.
The Pike Road Schools Board of Education invites community members and media representatives to join Superintendent Dr. Keith Lankford, the Pike Road Board of Education, Mayor Gordon Stone, the Pike Road Town Council, and the students of Pike Road for this momentous occasion.
