River Region families who love their veterans can join those of a like mind in Pike Road this fall to honor those who have served America.

Fans of veterans can purchase an engraved brick commemorating their time in the military for placement in Pike Road’s Walk of Honor. The Walk of honor leads to the Veterans Memorial located at Pike Road Founders Station.

Each brick costs $100, and can be personalized with up to three lines of 20 characters each, which includes spaces.

Bricks will be installed and dedicated at the 2017 Pike Road Veterans Day program on Nov. 5. The form must be returned by Sept. 26, to be included in the 2017 program.

“We have begun taking orders for personalized bricks,” Pike Road communications specialist Turner Waddell said, adding that there are currently 197 bricks in the Walk of Honor.
