Rebecca Burylo , Montgomery Advertiser 6:43 p.m. CST November 6, 2016: Pike Road celebrated Veterans Day a little early this year with a special outside ceremony Sunday afternoon to honor the nation’s and the area’s heroes.

Area veterans were invited to Pike Road’s Veterans Memorial at Veterans Park where 20 new commemorative bricks were installed on the walkway, surrounded by hardwood trees that leads to a marble monument honoring the sacrifices of the nation’s service men and women.
