New Waters Realty (NWR), the agency behind the homes at The Waters, started as a small boutique real estate agency. Today, we have grown into one of the premier agencies in Pike Road, Alabama, and the River Region of Montgomery, Alabama. Our team of agents has also grown, and we are always excited when someone new comes on board.
We would like for you to meet Realtor® Emily Blossom, the newest member of New Waters Realty and The Waters New Home Community Sales Team!

To help you get to know Emily a little better, we asked her a few questions about her job, her hobbies, and how she came to be an agent and a resident of The Waters.
How long have you been an agent at The Waters, and how long have you lived here? We moved to The Waters in June of 2018. I received my real estate license and joined NWR in October of 2019.
How did you get started in real estate? It’s one of those things that people have been saying I should do for the last decade, but the timing was never quite right. A little bit of prayer and a lot of encouragement from my husband and some close friends, and here we are! It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
What are some of your job duties and daily tasks involved with your job? As part of the New Home Team, I handle builder keys and lockboxes (these go on homes during the construction phase), as well as getting out all the marketing materials into each of the houses once they’re complete. Flyers, inventory sheets, business cards, and more are part of the package that gets loaded into each home as soon as countertops go in.
What is your favorite part of the job? My favorite part of the job is the variety. Every day is different. Every home, even if we’ve built it before, is different. Every customer has different needs. So no two days are ever the same. This variety means I’m constantly learning, exploring new options, and forced to be flexible and creative.
Are there any challenges you have faced? Because of the nature of real estate, you can be as busy as you want to be. So you have to stay motivated and keep trying new ideas to bring in customers. Your ideas may not always work, and it’s easy sometimes to say, “I’ll do that tomorrow.”
Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies and interests? I volunteer a lot at our church, Century Church. I’m on the Host Team, active in planning for our Century Women group, and I handle the stage design for our worship services. I’m also part of a very active book club and love having people over for dinner or gathering at the pool on a warm summer evening. I have a degree in Theater (costume design) and enjoy all things creative!
What’s your favorite thing about living at The Waters? I love the people. The scenery is beautiful, and amenities are the best around. But the people really make it what it is – a community.
What’s the one thing you would tell someone considering buying a house at The Waters to convince them to go for it? Don’t wait. Moving here is the best decision we’ve made for our family. I only regret that we didn’t get here sooner!
Emily’s family includes her husband, Reid, and son, Sam (9). They also have a very spoiled Boykin Spaniel named Newt. We are so happy to have you living and working at The Waters, Emily! Learn more about her and find contact information on the New Waters Realty website.
