PIKE ROAD, AL (WSFA) – A new development is coming to an exit off Interstate 85 in Montgomery County. Plans are underway to open a large gas station off the Waugh exit at mile marker 16.The facility will be located off the same exit commuters use to visit The Waters and other Pike Road neighborhoods.

Though larger than a typical gas station, it won’t be a truck stop. It should include a gas station, convenience store and fast food component, according to developers.

The facility has a sister location in the Tiger Town exit in Opelika.

An expected opening is planned for sometime in the fall.
