Celebrate the Holidays with the Town of Pike Road: Events & Ways to Get Involved

As the holiday season kicks off, there’s no better time to embrace the festive spirit than by participating in the many events and initiatives hosted by the Town of Pike Road. Whether you’re shopping for unique gifts, giving back to the community, or enjoying time with family and friends, the holidays in Pike Road are full of opportunities to make memories and spread cheer.

Arts, Crafts & Holiday Cheer

Start your December with the Pike Road Arts Council Christmas Open House on Sunday, December 1. From 1 to 4 p.m., the Pike Road Arts Center at 944 Wallahatchie Road will be transformed into a festive wonderland featuring handmade gifts, original art, and creative inspiration for your holiday table. Don’t miss the ornament decorating station for young artists or the beautifully detailed Christmas tablescape designed to inspire your own holiday décor.

For quilting enthusiasts and holiday shoppers alike, the Pike Road Quilters Quilt Show and Christmas Gift Boutique will take place on December 7, 8, 14, and 15. Browse intricately crafted quilts and find one-of-a-kind holiday gifts at the Pike Road Arts Center.

Giving Back: The Season of Giving Collections Drive

The Town of Pike Road’s annual Season of Giving Collections Drive is underway, offering residents an opportunity to support local organizations and neighbors in need. Beneficiaries include the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System, the Woodland Methodist Church Food Pantry, and Grace Episcopal Church’s Diaper Drive. Donations of new, unopened items—such as non-perishable food, personal hygiene products, and winter clothing—are accepted at Town Hall through December 17.

Postcards for Santa: A Magical Tradition

Children can share their Christmas wishes directly with Santa by participating in the Town’s Postcards for Santa program. Postcards are available for pickup at Town Hall, or you can print one from the Town’s website. Completed cards must be returned to Santa’s mailbox at Town Hall by December 17 to receive a personalized reply from the big guy himself.

A Festive Community Gathering: The Christmas Spectacular

On December 10 at 5:30 p.m., the Town of Pike Road invites you to the annual Christmas Spectacular at Town Hall. This family-friendly event features performances from local musical and theater groups, a special story read by Mayor Gordon Stone, and a snowy surprise! Enjoy hot cocoa and soak in the holiday magic with friends and neighbors.

Celebrate Local Businesses & Accomplishments

Wrap up the year with the Pike Road Business Association Celebration of 2024 Breakfast on December 19 at 7:30 a.m. Held at Town Hall, this event brings together business leaders and community members to celebrate accomplishments and look ahead to the new year. Sponsorship opportunities and individual tickets are available.
