There are many wonderful aspects of living at The Waters. One thing our neighbors especially love is our Town Center, a walkable hub for the neighborhood (pictured in the center of photo). When you can walk to church, to the dentist, or to the coffee shop, life just feels easier, more quaint, and more community-focused.
Because so many of us at The Waters love living in a neighborhood like this, we are thrilled that the Town of Pike Road, the community where The Waters is located, is continuing to grow in a smart way. Check out some of the new shopping options that will make life at The Waters even better!
New Shopping Options In the Pike Road Community
Publix recently opened at The Shops of Pike Road, and there’s a long list of additional shopping and dining options coming soon, including boutiques, healthcare providers, salons, and more. All of these other new businesses are small and locally owned, which is a common theme in Pike Road and The Waters. This fits in well with Pike Road’s vision for smart, thoughtful growth.
Smart growth emphasizes the importance of neighborhoods that are compact and people friendly, where residents can walk, bike, or otherwise enjoy the outdoors safely. Planning for Pike Road is based on a long-range perspective to consider how today’s development will impact tomorrow’s community and region. Development in Pike Road aims to preserve farmland and open space to focus on logical growth centers. This smart growth includes a variety of housing, commercial, and business options and focuses on preserving the area’s unique “sense of place.”
We think The Waters has a very unique feeling, and that includes our Town Center, as well as other nearby hubs. Sweet Creek Farm Market is a wonderful location that’s close by with local, fresh produce, signature sandwiches, homemade ice cream, fresh baked goods, and gifts; and you will often find entertainment and other special events happening here. Also nearby is Warehouse Five 69 with Nayo’s Barber Shop, Local & Bloom, and Pike Road Print Shop. This area will be expanding soon as well.
The new Shops of Pike Road, along with these other hubs, are all within minutes of The Waters. Our neighborhood is truly a part of the community. It’s about much more than just the house where you live or even the street you live on. It’s about everything that’s just outside your door and down the street, only a walk or a short drive away. It’s a lifestyle that’s intentionally being created in Pike Road and at The Waters, and we would love for you to come be a part of it with us!
