2025 Spooky Sprint
09/17
The Pike Road Spooky Sprint 5K is back for 2025, promising a fun and festive way to support the Pike Road Show Choirs. Organized by the Pike Road Show Choir Boosters, this race will take place with a start and finish at the Pavilion at Town Square in The Waters, kicking off at 8:00 a.m. and covering a 3.1-mile course.
More than just a typical race, participants can choose to take part in the thrilling “Zombie Run” variant, where runners dodge ravenous zombies placed throughout the course. Runners carry flags representing their “health,” and zombies attempt to steal them—making this a lively test of speed, endurance, and agility. Those who cross the finish line with at least one flag remain “alive”; otherwise, they’re deemed part of the walking dead.
The event encourages creativity with a costume contest featuring categories such as pet, celebrity, princess, superhero, rockstar, group, original, and scary. Awards and medals will be distributed to top finishers overall, as well as in male, female, teen, and kids’ divisions.
Registration is now $30 until October 16th at 8:00 a.m., with last-minute race day registration priced at $40. Children aged 4 and under can participate for free. Registrants before September 24th are guaranteed a race T-shirt, with additional shirts available while supplies last. Register at https://runsignup.com/Race/AL/PikeRoad/PRSpookySprint5K.
Race day registration opens at 6:30 a.m. until 7:40 a.m., with payments accepted via credit card or cash at the Check-In Tent. Pre-race packet pickup will occur on October 15th and 17th at convenient locations in Pike Road and Montgomery.
Proceeds from the Spooky Sprint support over 150 vocal music students who participate in the Show Choir and Concert Choir programs at the PRS GW Campus. The event promises a day of fitness, fun, and community spirit with a spooky twist.
