Great Eats and Activities Are Here in Our Town Center!
The Waters is nothing without its community; thankfully, our community and town center are thriving! You might know about our wide range of amenities, but you might not be aware that we have a centralized, town center and square for our members and the outside community to enjoy!
Our town square is the heart of the neighborhood: it’s the hub for events and gatherings; the site for our community pool and pavilion; mail center, outdoor kitchen and fire pit and much more!
Beyond that, The Waters has a slew of businesses that touch on our community’s needs. We’ve highlighted some growing businesses in our town center — drop by and introduce yourself sometime!
Life Spring Fitness
Situated in the center of town, Life Spring Fitness is the Water’s destination for healthy living, personalized nutrition advice and customized personal training. Owner Josh Langham visited Town Square and saw potential to open up a training space in the former YMCA.
In an interview with Montgomery Advertiser, Josh said, “There were a few empty spaces, including what used to be a YMCA. I half-jokingly mentioned how great it would be to open up a gym in that space… It seemed like the perfect place at the perfect time.”
Life Spring includes modern workout equipment, including Cybex machines, treadmills, bikes and ellipticals. There are also weightlifting machines, dumbbell racks, cable crossover, power squat rack and dedicated floor space with additional equipment.
The H20 Cafe, Market and General Store offers delicious, Alabama-sourced ingredients for salads, soups, sandwiches and sides. The H20 Cafe, led by Paul Freehling, also has pizza and desserts for the whole family — always made fresh with local ingredients.
H20 was born when Paul and Lois Freehling saw that the Waters did not offer any restaurants or markets past breakfast. “We also saw a need for a restaurant, coffee shop or something similar at the Waters,” Paul said to Montgomery Advertiser.
Because of H20’s focus on fresh, local ingredients, a significant portion of their food offerings are made in-house, everyday.
In the same interview with Montgomery Advertiser, Paul said, “We also roast our own beef, chicken and turkey. We make our own chicken salads, hummus, lemonade and other menu items. We offer beer and wine by the bottle and by the glass.”
H20 Cafe also offers a small market and general store with greeting cards, wine, beer, unique gifts and more.
Century Church is the Water’s Methodist Congregation! With services held at Pike Road Elementary School each Sunday at 9am and 10:30am, Century Church’s mission is to share the love of God with every man, woman and child in the Pike Road community and beyond!
