Brusle (Broolee) Sherburne is a native of Louisiana. He graduated from Nicholls State University where he went through the AFROTC program. Brusle spent the next 28 years in the USAF doing a variety of jobs, one of the most interesting was being a “Hurricane Hunter” WC-130 pilot for 4 years. He retired from the USAF as a colonel after being the AFROTC Southeast Region Commander.
Brusle lives at The Waters and was one of the first Real Estate agents on ‘Team Waters’. He fondly remembers his first visit to the property. There were no roads and Lake Cameron was still being developed, but the vision of what could develop got his attention. It has been a joy watching that vision and this community grow, first in Lucas Point, then Welch Cove, and now Dawson Creek. The consistent variable is the sense of “neighborhood” generated by the residents!
He remembers one of the first marketing tag lines used and thinks it still is accurate today – ”It’s not a vacation home, it just feels like one!”
He and his wife Gwen enjoy having their kids and grandkids visit from out of state because there is never a good reason to go anywhere else but The Waters!
Brusle invites you to come to The Waters and see where he lives! He would be honored to show you around this wonderful community.
