Celebrating Independence Day, The Waters Way

At The Waters in Pike Road, AL, festive is an understatement. This is especially true when it comes to celebrating our great Nation. Waters’ residents pull out all the “Stars and Stripes” for the Fourth of July. The festive nature of the community carries right over to the many 4th of July celebrations happening in The Waters and throughout Pike Road.

Residents at The Waters start Independence Day off with a bang! Early Tuesday morning the distant hum of golf cart engines will be heard as neighbors make their way to the Blue Heron Pool Club (41 Lucky Lane) for their annual Neighborhood Parade and Pot-Luck Brunch. Golf carts and bicycles will be bedazzled and everyone, down to the family pet, will be decked in their 4th of July best.

As soon as this parade is over, many of our residents will join in the fun at the annual Town of Pike Road 4th of July Parade. This year’s theme is “United We Stand” and creativity is encouraged. Registration begins at 8:30 am at Founders Station (4902 Pike Road), with the parade beginning at 9:30 am.  Participation is open to the public & free!

The BIG Pike Road celebration begins at 5 pm in The Waters! The Town of Pike Road SUMMER FEST is one of the best annual events in the River Region. This year, the Town has lined up food vendors, live music by the Shouting Stones and (of course) an awesome firework show. Gates open at 4:30 pm, and there is a $10 charge per vehicle. Grab your blankets, lawn chairs and favorite friends for a great Pike Road 4th of July Celebration.

There’s no denying, Pike Road is the place to be on Independence Day!
